| Message from the President |
Dear Members,
I hope that you had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday and that there was some
rest involved. We hosted our yearly get-together with friends from the time we
lived in Dallas, it was their turn to travel this year and to experience the
wonderful and crisp weather we had last week. It was most likely the last time
we did this, so it was bittersweet. My husband has accepted a new job in Sweden
and will move there after New Years. Our girls and I will stay behind and
finish off the spring semester, then we will join him, sometime in June. I have
informed my students and now you, my collegues. It was not an easy decision,
but one that will be good for the whole family once the transition is done and
over with. When we leave, it will be 8 years in Atlanta and thanks to all of
you, it has been exciting and very musical. I am very grateful that I have been
part of NFMTA. I have given much time to the organization being one of the
board members, sometimes feeling I don't I have enough time, but I have been
given so much more in return that it has been worth every moment of it. I
encourage each one of you to figure out a way to get involved in NFMTA, it
really gives back. Renee will be looking for board members for the new
executive board, so think "Yes" before you think "No." I hope to see you at the
Holiday Brunch that Renee is hosting this year, and if not, I wish you a
wonderful Holiday Season and a great Winter break.
