Message from the President
Dear Members,

A warm Thank You goes out to our Fall Festival Committee for their hard work to make sure that the festival becomes a success and a smooth operation. Also, a warm Thank You to all the teachers who sent their students and worked at the Festival to make it such a success. Without all of your effort our students would not have this wonderful opportunity and I am sure it is greatly appreciated by them as well.

I leave for NYC on Friday 11/6 to sing at Carnegie Hall, after my performance of Swedish Art Songs at the State Conference, then off to Sweden to visit with family for a week and to see the new baby in the family. I will leave the meeting in Renee Holliman's hands and she will get acquainted with her upcoming president's role. Please show her your support at the meeting 11/10. I am sorry to miss this great program with Dr. Francesco Silva and his wife Mirelle, who will perform a duet program for us. The following meeting is our Holiday Brunch and I will send out information in regard of that as soon as Renee and I have conferred. Plan on a regular meeting time but a different place.

As we lead up to the very hectic Holiday season, please remember to enjoy all that music is giving us, we have much to be grateful for. I give Thanks to each of you for making my presidency a wonderful experience and that you have supported the new ideas that have come up from the membership so that we can share music at the Teacher Concert and the upcoming Student Concert. Celebrate with Music is around the corner, the mall, I am sure, will appreciate potential customers but Rhonda Freeman will have more details about that.

See you in December,
Maria
